Our Club was a hive of activity over the past few weeks preparing for a mega Connacht Hockey Blitz for our Junior teams. On Sunday evening Dangan was packed with hockey players in all of their colours proudly representing their clubs. In total over 240 children took part in the blitz which saw 80 hockey matches played in a jam packed schedule! Thanks to our visiting clubs Greenfields Hockey Club Galway Hockey Club Athlone Hockey Club Kinvara Hockey Tuam Falcons Hockey Club, their fantastic coaches and parents and of course all their amazing hockey players! A massive thank you to our own juvenile coaches and senior ladies players who put in a massive effort to make it all happen and to our #purplestars, who played and our teens who refereed and supported their club mates. Thanks to club secretary, Becca, for the snaps! A very proud day in purple for our small club.
