What is Hockey Ireland Registration?

All players must register with Hockey Ireland to be eligible to compete in all provincial and international competitions. Included in this registration is insurance cover.

Hockey Ireland has negotiated an increase in medical expenses from €2,000 to €3,000 and in dental expenses from €1,000 to €2,000 per player at no extra cost to the member.

No individual will be deemed registered until the required fees have been paid. Unregistered players will not be covered by Hockey Ireland’s personal accident insurance policy.

Those who registered for the 2021/22 season, will have personal accident insurance cover until the end of the 2021/22 season which is up to August 1st 2022.

Injury claims will only be accepted if valid HI Membership is in place at the time of the accident/injury. The brochure link for details of personal accident insurance cover can be accessed here.

Any Hockey Ireland registration queries or questions about the new system can be sent via email to the Hockey Ireland Membership Officer, Dwayne Hill, on Membership@hockey.ie
